The dining rooms of the new Pearl Asian Kitchen are an invitation to experience the mystery and drama of Hong Kong, the birthplace of owner and your hostess Rose Wong. Known as The Pearl of the Orient by those who call her their home, Hong Kong is a dynamic blend of eastern and western cultures, a marriage of the traditional and the new, all centered on bustling Victoria Harbor and nestled by the majesty of the surrounding mountain peaks. The new restaurant wants to carry you into that one of a kind world.
The generously spaced jade-hued tables and red chairs are anchored by a wood floor that is reminiscent of the ancient salt-bleached planks of a ship. With full height photo murals of the harbor and skyline it is easy to imagine that you are dining on a ship deck, surrounded by the traditional red sailed junks that dominate the busy waters. Dark wood cabinetry, quartz countertops, velour and gauze curtains and red lacquered walls combine the materials of traditional construction but in a way that is modern and new, just as Hong Kong itself balances both worlds.
With 80 seats, you will find the new restaurant to be spacious yet intimate. Choose either the smaller front room, which is also ideal for private parties, or the more bustling lounge room with its 14 seat quartz-topped bar; both have their own unique character designed to suit your preference and mood. In either you will find yourself to be a treasured guest in a special and unique destination.
